Bruce is a licensed Architect, seasoned General Contractor, and proud co-owner of (w)here Maui Takes You, a boutique real estate brokerage dedicated to navigating the luxury market across Maui. His journey into the world of building began early—swinging hammers for a general contractor while still in high school—and that spark quickly ignited a lifelong passion for design, development, and craftsmanship.
After graduation, Bruce took to the skies as a Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army, flying helicopters in Vietnam. Following his service, he continued flying commercially while earning his professional Architecture degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). That rare blend of discipline, precision, and vision has since shaped a distinguished career spanning over 38 years.
Bruce is the founding architect of Pacific Architecture and the licensed general contractor behind BCS BATIMENT, both Hawaii-based firms specializing in high-end custom homes, design-build projects, and mid-sized commercial developments. With licenses in Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, Bruce brings a hands-on, start-to-finish approach that transforms concepts into beautiful spaces.
Known for his refined aesthetic, technical mastery, and deep respect for the island landscape, Bruce’s work seamlessly blends form and function. Whether it's designing a one-of-a-kind oceanfront estate or overseeing a luxury build from the ground up, Bruce thrives on helping clients bring their dream properties to life.
